Dreaming of an intimate Florida Keys elopement? Ten years ago, we had the honor of officiating a heartfelt elopement in Islamorada where that faithful companion and only guest was the couple’s dog.
Kori and Brandon dreamt of a small destination wedding in the Keys. They chose a relaxed, tropical vibe for their day with soft colors and light fabrics that flowed gorgeously in the evening breeze. To bring in a joyful pop of color, the couple selected bright yellow florals as a fun accent. We created a bouquet of yellow calla lilies for the bride with matching orchids for her hair. The groom had a yellow boutonniere to match. The sweetest touch? A matching yellow orchid on their pup’s collar so that the good girl could share in the celebration.
It was a peaceful evening, and the couple shared a private, heartfelt moment, deeply focused on one another as they exchanged their vows. Gen captured the moment in dreamy photos. It was one of those Florida Keys sunsets that felt like pure magic.
As we celebrate the couple’s ten-year anniversary, this sweet elopement at sunset reminds us that sometimes the most meaningful weddings are the simplest ones.
